    High-strength bolts are mechanical fasteners with a performance grade of ≥ 8.8. They are widely used in fields such as heavy machinery, bridges, steel structures, wind power, and automobiles, where high connection strength and reliability are required.

    Core Feature 

    High intensity

    It is manufactured using medium-carbon alloy steel or low-carbon alloy steel (such as 40Cr, 35CrMo), and undergoes quenching + tempering treatment for quenching and tempering. Its tensile strength and yield strength are much higher than those of ordinary bolts. 
    Common strength grades: 8.8 grade, 10.9 grade, 12.9 grade. The larger the number, the higher the strength. 
    Tightening force control 
    During installation, strict pre-tightening force must be applied. This can be achieved through torque control, angle measurement method or stretching method to ensure the rigidity and anti-slip ability of the connection. 
    It is commonly used in friction-type connections, where the load is transmitted through the friction force between the contact surfaces, rather than the shear force of the bolt shaft.

    Surface treatment
    Common treatment methods: blackening, hot-dip galvanizing, dactron coating, Teflon coating, etc., to enhance anti-corrosion and anti-biting performance. 
    The Teflon/PTFE coating is commonly used in harsh environments such as those in the chemical and marine industries. It can effectively prevent the bolts from rusting and seizing. 
    Compliance requirements 
    It must be used in conjunction with nuts and washers of the same grade to ensure the overall connection performance. 
    Installation requires the use of a dedicated torque wrench or hydraulic stretcher. Ordinary wrenches must not be used to tighten the screws at will.
